Packing the car and need to put the right puppet in the car. Teaching a phonic session in John Perryn school tomorrow in London. My favourite puppet used to be a monkey who a gave a Brummy accent too. Over the years I’ve realised when using puppets with phonics the puppets can’t actually speak as it is important that children can see human mouth movements! My puppets now whisper into my ear and tell me the names of objects and sometimes get things wrong. I need a very shy puppet, therefore the obvious choice is Sidney the snail.

Great ideas, still chuckling about some of your connector themes. Looking forward to building the curriculum next week.
