Transforming the Teaching of Reading with Jane Considine.
A whole school reading curriculum for primary schools.
This day will provide a whole school process for teaching reading that will invigorate practice for teachers and sharpen standards across both key stage 1 & 2 pupils.
Guidance will be provided on how to foster a ‘we love reading’ ethic alongside regular interactive reading sessions, focusing on ways to teach the mechanics of reading and the magic of the written word.
By establishing a reading framework using practical resources and teaching & learning methods for success, this course will help schools achieve the Ofsted requirements to promote the raising of standards and pupil engagement in their classrooms.
